Arkansas Trip

This past weekend we went to Arkansas. The purpose of the trip was to take Kirby back to Bekah and get my car. Jack and I left Friday morning and enjoyed our drive up there. Going to Arkansas you see a lot of this -

But we finally made it to Conway. Our first stop was Bekah's apartment to unload this -

That was the reason we didn't leave at the time we had originally planned. I actually had to call Bekah to find out how to get the bike on the back of the car. But we got it there safe and sound.

Our time in Arkansas was devoted to family. Friday and Saturday nights my dad, brother, Doug, and his wife Noreen came over and we all went out to eat. Saturday night we watched the Razorback game. It was exciting and disappointing. Even though Doug didn't wear his Razorback PJ bottoms and they had Tusk the stuffed hog with them, Saban prevailed in the end.

During the day Saturday we drove up to Little Rock and visited and went shopping with Jack's brother, Ron, and his wife Myra. We had a lot of fun playing with Gus, the horse dog. We ate lunch at Mimi's Cafe. This was a good place with great food.

Sunday morning we got up and went to church at University Church of Christ. This is where Bekah, Doug and Noreen all go and where Dusty preaches. It was good seeing him and hearing him speak God's Word.

All in all it was a good trip. We got to spend a lot of time with Bekah and with other members of our family. We are blessed that we can take off and take long weekends now and then. Something that I am truly thankful for!
