We had a great trip to Arkansas this past weekend. It was nice that Jack was able to get off from work and we went up there Thursday. That gave us 2 days before having to head home. We spent those 2 days visiting with family, shopping, eating and going to homecoming at Arkansas Tech.
It was really good to see Bekah. She is enjoying life at ATU. This weekend she also enjoyed seeing her dog and doing some shopping. She went up there without a real coat, so our mission was to find her one. We accomplished that on our shopping trip plus she found a few more things to pick up too. She spent a lot of time with us and we enjoyed having her around again. We also got to spend time with my parents, Jack's brother and sister-in-law and his aunt. We're always glad when we can spend some time with family.
The football game was the first one we've been to this season. It was a good game with Tech winning 14 - 9. Before the game the announcer stated that it was time to participate in the traditional walk to victory. Jack and I looked at each other wondering what that tradition was and when it started. The stark reality then set in that it could be a 25 year old tradition, and we wouldn't know. The Tech band did a fantastic job too. They have always been one of the better bands and they didn't disappoint. The highlight of going to the game was that I got to see my roommate from college, Vicky. I would have recognized her anywhere. She looks great and life seems to be going well for her. Ahhh, memories...
