With the increase in population in Baton Rouge, the crime rate has surprisingly stayed fairly steady. That's the good news. The bad news is that traffic accidents have increased. I have noticed more cars driving around that look like they have recently been in an accident. Plus I've noticed crazier drivers than usual. I'm use to having to wait after the light turns green for the cross traffic to clear but now I'm having to watch for sudden stops in the middle of the road, lane changes at the last second, people driving over medians, straight only lanes becoming turn lanes, etc. It's always an adventure! Don't these people know that gas is at an all time high and it would be best for them to just stay home??
