Houston Trip

We had a great trip to Houston a couple of weeks back. This is the second year that we have met Jack's brother, Ron, and his wife, Myra, over there and gone to Cardinal/Astro games. It has quickly become a tradition and we are already planning next year - with a little change. Next year we are planning on going to St. Louis. It's been years since we've been to St. Louis. When Jack and I were first married we made a trip up there every summer it seems. When the kids came along that stopped. Then we moved further south and we've been back only once since. That one time was one of our favorite family vacations. We went to the zoo, the children's museum, Grant's Farm, Six Flags, the Arch and of course ballgames. Can you tell that I'm looking forward to going back?

Houston is a fun place for us to go to though. We've been often enough that we have established a routine of where to eat, where to stay and what we want to do. The games were fun. The Cardinals won Friday night and lost Saturday. Friday night we were on the club level - good seats but not good for pictures. Saturday we were lower so Bekah and I took a few shots. We didn't stay for Sundays game and of course it turned out to be the best - going 10 innings and Pujols hitting 2 home runs. Bekah rode with Ron and Myra so we got to see her for the weekend and it scheduled out where it was our birthday weekend, so that made it more special that we got to see her. Good times and a fun tradition that I hope we get to continue for many years.
