This from The Advocate:
Krispy Kreme Siegen Store Shut
Krispy Kreme’s Siegen Lane store closed late last week, though it was unclear why.
The store’s phone number was not working Monday. Jim Golden, a New York-based Krispy Kreme spokesman, could not be reached.
Employees at the Plank Road Krispy Kreme were telling customers Monday that the Siegen location had been closed permanently.
Jack got up early on Saturday and he went to the Krispy Kreme on Siegen Lane. It was shut down with a sign on the door inviting customers to visit the one on Plank Road instead. Plank Road is only about 15 miles from the Siegen location, so guess our days of bliss at Krispy Kreme are over!
The article does state that it is unclear why the store closed. I'm not sure either, but Jack's office had been around the corner from Krispy Kreme. They moved into a new building about a month ago. Wonder if there's a connection....

I tried to go on Saturday too! I had a friend and her family in town and her children said they always have Krispy Kreme when they are here. Off we went only to find the driveways blocked. No sprinkled donuts for you!
