For the past 2 summers Justin has stayed in Hammond and gone to summer school. It's a real treat for us that he will be home this summer. He does not have summer school this year - yeah! When he goes back in August, he'll be moving into a different apartment, so he arrived Saturday with the rest of his stuff. It's all in his room right now, which creates quite the maze.
This is the first summer that Bekah won't be here. She will be in Conway, going to summer school. She was here last week and left yesterday for a "mission" trip to Mississippi. The college group from University Church of Christ in Conway is there working on houses that were damaged in Katrina. When they finish there, she'll head back to Conway with them.
It would be nice to have them both home this summer, but that's part of parenting. They grow and have obligations of their own. So for this year, we'll just enjoy "The Summer of Justin."
