Yesterday I was able to go to New Orleans to see the latest exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art - "Femme,Femme,Femme." This is a collection of some of France's finest works on women. The paintings have been gathered from the Louvre and 41 other museums, so it is a collection that is a one time experience. It is France's gift to New Orleans to help in the recovery from Hurricane Katrina. And a wonderful gift it is.
I'm not much of an art museum person. I do enjoy it, but don't go out of my way to see things. These paintings are exquisite though and well worth the effort. They will be there through June 3 and NOMA is open Wednesday - Sunday. Check it out.
