Last night was our annual dessert and coffee for our Keenager group at church. This is a time for our kids to serve our older members. They do a little devotional for them and then are the waiters and waitresses. They take the orders at the table, keep their water glasses and coffee filled, etc. We also had our younger chorus group sing to them this year and we played games for door prizes. We always have something they can all take home that the kids make in our Wednesday night class. It's always a fun time, but what strikes me most is how much the kids enjoy doing this. They are a glimpse of what Jesus meant when he said that we must change and become like little children. I'm thankful for the example and reminder they are to an old person like me.
